IAN REYNOLD
In Emerging Artist, Paintings on 27 febrero 2012 at 8:55As you might already know, we are huge fans of hyper realistic painting, so coming across the work of Ian Reynold was a real treat. Reynold is only 23 years old, based in Chicago and a classically trained musician. Yes sir, he hasn’t taken a single class in painting and everything he knows he has learnt himself. Normally, he works with oil on linen and spends up to 400 hours on each painting. Pretty impressive!

ROBOSONIC “SWEET AND NUTS”
In Emerging Artist, Music on 28 diciembre 2011 at 10:09

Robosonic celebrate the end of 2011 with a release on Jackmode, „The Sweetness” (which includes a bassheavy remix by J. Phlip of Dirtybird and Pets Recordings fame), a videomashup to the original track and a mixalbum entitled „Sweet and Nuts“.
The Jackmode release marks a special moment in Robosonic‘s eventful journey, which in early 2012 will be spanning 6 years; the boys haven‘t released any original material since their critically acclaimed debut album „Sturm und Drang“ and vinyl EPs (with album tracks and remixes by the likes of Jesse Rose, Santiago & Bushido, Koletzki & Meindl, Deo & Z-Man, Christopher Just and more) on their own label between 2007 and 2009.
Instead, Robosonic have been drawn towards the dancefloor and performed countless gigs – both at their homebase Berlin and worldwide – making a name for themselves as a seasoned DJ duo which has a lot of fun rocking exciting sets of heavily danceable, norm-defying electronic music in clubs and at numerous festivals morning, day, and night, often taking their crowd on a musical trip of epic proportions.
To commemorate their sucessful year and a return to a more production-focused career, Robosonic present the mixalbum „Sweet and Nuts“. This one hour mix of music contains nothing but new and 100% original Robosonic tracks and remixes (J. Phlip, Antonio Olivieri), some still unsigned and – – for your exclusive preview – – some which are soon to be released.
Go ahead and join the celebration party by grabbing the „Sweet and Nuts“ mixalbum! –> DOWNLOAD

TAMARA MULLER
In Emerging Artist, Paintings on 17 noviembre 2011 at 9:03Dutch artist Tamara Muller‘s faces are almost always her own. They are stylized but rendered with an uncanny realism. Other parts of the canvas may be blocked with simple brushwork or even left unfinished, because it is those faces that matter.
