Artist Roxanne Jackson explains that her work is ‘a dialogue with the grotesque and, therein, discovering beauty, macabre and emotional as a deal with extreme axioms to dramatize the dualities of our nature’.

ADRIAN TRANQUILLI.
In Art, Objects on 1 mayo 2010 at 16:35Take a look at Adrian Tranquilli’s body of work titled Heroes: The Route of Exposure, which features your favourite comic book heroes in a more vulnerable light. Tranquilli’s goal was rather to show their more human, fragile characteristics rathat than what we’re accustomed to seeing. Among others, you’ll find a despondent Batman, and a bleeding Superman.
TOM SACHS.
In Art on 27 enero 2010 at 8:39Tom Sachs is known for his effusive installations and constructions of a variety of objects more commonly found within the public or commercial domain. These works include a McDonald’s fast-food stand, a made-from-scratch refrigerator, Hello Kitty dolls, Nasa Sculptures (Space Program)(i’m love it) and an aircraft carrier tower. He constructs these objects from a variety of purchased and found materials, including stolen wooden New York City police barricades.
